Football weekend and we were split Raheny 1 away in Round Towers Lusk and Raheny 2 home versus Man O War.

Great sport had by all and the boys played very well. Raheny 2 produced a stirring comeback against Man O War in one of the games coming from well behind at half time to win through. Star performers for Raheny 2 this week were John "2 feet" McNally who put the training on the weaker foot to good use by slotting over a point on his left foot and a returning player Bobby McNamee who had a great couple of games. Welcome back Bobby.

Notable mentions for Matthew McGloin who played a stormer when moved into the forwards, Jason "Messi" Maguire, Hayden Carroll and Sam Grant.

We're always delighted to see new players joining. If any player has friends or class mates that would like to join us please remind them that we train Wednesday nights Alfie Byrne Rd from 5.50 to 7pm.

For Raheny 1 star players this week were Mark Farrelly in goals, David McCarthy, Cillian Ryan, Eoghan Cullen, Ruairi Kelly and Sean Reilly. Karl English and Brian Purcell chipped in with a few lovely scores. The players are starting to play as a team now, keep it going.

Well done everybody great weekends work.

It's hurling weekend next week, when Raheny 2 will be away to Na Fianna and Raheny 1 at home to Whitehall Colmcilles.
