Tonight, despite the small numbers of boys and mentors (you must admire their dedication), the training session went very well. First up was a warm up. This was followed by hand passing forwards versus defenders, then by the 'viking helmet' drill, which is new found innovation on the part of one of our mentors. The session finished up with a very competitive small sided game. Great passing, running, marking and scoring on show. One of the mentors playing a goal remarked he could not find one free player to pass to. The session finished up with Max Osborne being awarded player of the week for a great effort tonight and also at last weeks hurling training. Next up is hurling training on next Tuesday. To be confirmed is the move to Tuesdays and Thursdays, which will take place over August.
