The Senior A camogie team finished their season off with a win over Erins Isle in the Shield final last Friday under lights in O'Tooles, Ayrfield.

Having finished mid table in the league, this win was a tribute to the hard work of the entire squad and management team.

On the night, free taking from Siobhan Curran and two well worked goals from converted forward Michele Markham saw Raheny take the shield home.

With the experience of the established members of the team and enthusiasm and skill of the young players coming through, the team hopes to build on the advances made this season.

Final Score 2-8 to 1-3.

Best of luck to Siobhan Curran on her round the world travels and make sure to come back for next years league!

Thanks to our 2007 Management team of Neil Curley and Patsy Markham
