5th October 2009

The U11s played fantastic but unfortunatley it was not enough to beat St Judes in Tymon North on Sunday 4th. Having beaten Judes in the group stages they faced a much stronger team in this playoff with No 13 Nadia Power catching the eye with some superb running with the ball. For Raheny Katie OConnor played great in goal. The heavily sanded goal was not helpful where a sand wedge would be a better option than a hurley. Raheny's scores came from Aoife Stack (5) Ali Ambose (1) and Shona Close (1). Judes ran out comfortable winners in the end but well done to all the Raheny squad who gave it their all right to the end.

Next match is away to Nh Olaf's (Stillorgan / Ballinteer area) next Saturday morning

More details at training tomorrow night 6pm on Pitch 12a as usual
