CLUB NOTES Tuesday 28th June by: Daithi Brugha.

AHL2 lost to St.Judes and to St.Patricks[P] . AHL6 had a good win v St.Sylvesters mid-week and lost narrowly away to St.Maurs on Sunday morning.

Our U10 hurlers travelled down to Newtownshandrum, Co Cork on Sat 25th for a blitz against teams from Cork, Tipperary, Clare and Waterford. The early start was well worth it and the team won 3 out of 4 games. A memorable trip and a great welcome from the host club in Dave Gearys hometown.


A truly suberb full back display from Mairead Maguire helped Intermediate Camogie to an emphatic win over St.OP/ER.

Hard luck to Rahenys Ciara Burgess, Aoife Kelly and Dublin senior camogie team v Offaly and good luck v Cork next Sat

Comhghairdeas le Dub U21.hrlrs on their win v Offaly and good luck v Wexford in the Leinster final. U12 f/blrs lost to Ballymun Kickhams and  depleted U16 hurlers lost to Naomh Fionnbarra, well done on a spirited 2nd half fightback which showed great charachter..

Minor Div 1 footballers play Naomh Uinsionn on Thurs 30th at home on Pitch 9 at 7.30. Please support . Good luck to our Dublin minor football contingent who play Kildare in the Leinster MFC semi-final in Parnell Park on Wednesday night 7:30pm Best of luck also to Minor Hurler Eoghan Smyth and the Dubs in the Leinster MHC final next Sunday in Croke Park.

The GOLF outing was a wash out in the rain last Friday, however all involved, aside from getting drenched, had a great day (and nite) out. Thanks to Marius Herbert and his cohorts for organising and to hosts, neighbours St Annes Golf Club. Well done to the few teams who finished the round.

Great displays from Emily, Lorna, Ciara and Laura for U16 camogie. U15hrlrs drew with league leaders Parnells.

Congrats and also hard luck to Luke Bennett who was beaten in 2nd place, by millimetres, in the Puc Fada competition in a thrilling shootout.

Hats off to 14 man Dubs on a vital victory over Kildare in Leinster SFC S/Final. Great to see three RAHENY GAA club members on the hallowed turf last Sunday. Henno, Sam Ennis who reffed the exhibition game at half time and to minor footballer Philly Kane who lead the Artane Boys Band.

Congrats to new parents Daragh and Karen Lee (and An Runai Tony Lee on becoming a grandfather for the first time) wishing baby Eithne Lee a long, happy and healthy life.

Camogie section host a Fun Day next Saturday 11-15am-12.45pm on the pitch behind Scoil Aine. All girls 6-9yrs welcome. Lots of craic, prizes, egg and spoon races etc. Newcomers specially welcome.
