Club Notes 1st September 2014

posted Sep 2, 2014, 1:00 PM by Kevin Brassil
We would like to wish our Juvenile Chairman Ronan Leech, a very Happy 50th Birthday.

We are looking forward to seeing our Ogra children on Saturday and welcoming all the newcomers
. Ogra as always starts at 10am, please bring your child a little earlier if its your first Saturday with us so we can get your little one registered.

Hard luck to the Dublin Senior team on their loss to Donegal at the weekend and also to Brian Howard and the Dublin Minors.

Well done to Siobhan Woods and Ladies Senior Football team on their win over Galway on Saturday, next stop All-Ireland Final.  COYGIB

Our Senior Hurlers had a great win over Fingallians.

CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH.

Club mate, this Friday night your 3rd Adult football team takes to the field at Parnell Park in the Junior Championship Final, having beaten Ballyboden, St Brigids, Castleknock (quarter final) & St Vincent's (semi final), our opposition in the final will be Round Towers Clondalkin.
We have gotten to this final with your help, your team greatly appreciated this support in what has been an extremely challenging football championship.
Every footballers worst fear is that he or she doesn't "show up" on final day. We will do our upmost to "show up" & perform. What we ask from you is to "show up" & support your team, support your club at the home of Dublin football.
It's not often a club gets to play on this stage & show what your club has to offer in an arena steeped with history.
The panel & management team ask that you come out in numbers this Friday evening (throw in 7pm) and support the lads who will represent our club, your club in a championship final.
Groups of juveniles are admitted free of charge, and for every 10  juveniles an adult will gain free entry also. It would be brilliant to see the future of your club out to support our team in such an arena that is Parnell Park.
We look forward to seeing you there in large numbers and we especially look forward to hearing you in full voice in support of your team, in support of your club. No matter the rules and regulations about panel sizes the 16th man is always welcomed....

Our Senior Footballers are playing St Vincents away on Saturday evening and are also looking for your support, throw in is at 6pm.

The Minor Footballers are also in the Semi final of the Division 2 Football league- the date has yet to be confirmed but most likely will be  this week and it is anticipated this game will be  played in the near future-  it is brilliant to have so many teams in the knockout stages of their respective competitions.

This success follows  the great performances  and successes of our under 14 -footballers, hurlers and camogie players earlier in the Summer -  all mentor and players across the club should take a bow for all the great work they have put in over the last year . Raheny ABU

We also have great hopes for the remaining teams whose Championship competitions have yet to  start or restart due to the Inter County Success of Dublin-  our Senior footballers, Minor Hurler and footballers
