RESULTS
It was a great start to the season for our Senior Camogie with a win in  the first competitive game for the Senior 2 squad.  We had senior debuts from Lauren Robinson and Niamh McCormack who rose to the challenge and didn't look our of place at all.  Although we were missing a few of last years starting panel, there was a welcome return of a lot of players including Jackie Elebert and Grace Larmon who made a huge difference. A few of last years minors, Andrea Cotter, Keelin Lambart, Katelyn Close, Sinead Stack and captain for the day Ailbhe Byrne were also a great addition.  A clean sheet for Emily Rheinisch also, the future is bright for Raheny Senior Camogie.

Our AFL2 (Raheny 3-12 to 1-6 Ballyboughall GAA) and AFl4 had great wins away as well, not so good for the home games, hard luck to minor and U15 hurlers.

The Raheny U7’s boys are half way through the  Gormanston hurling tournament and are improving with every game. First up last weekend were the Raheny Red team of Evan Bishop, Joe Corvin, Danny McCabe, Charlie Girvin, Liam Corkery, Luke Traynor, Shane Walsh, Daragh Nevin, Darragh & Conor Weafer against Skerries Harps and the Raheny White team of Cian Cunningham,  Joe Dempsey, Joe Barrett, Matthew Griffin, Jack Walsh, Donnchadh Feeney, Eoghan Ó Braoin, Stuart Mills, Tadgh Ward, Sam Pepper and Conor Kinsella against O’Dwyers
Both teams quickly got into their stride with great striking, and dribbling. On the Red team there were great displays of tracking back and tackling by Danny, Evan and Joe, while Daragh and Conor moved the ball quickly through midfield setting up chances for Shane, Charlie, Liam and Luke, while Darragh Weafer made great clearances on more than one occasion. Over with the White team Conor, Sam and Jack were covering a lot of ground making important interceptions and moving the ball into the forward line for Cian, Tadgh, Donnchadh and Matthew to put the O’Dwyers goal under serious pressure, there was great defending by the two Joe’s Barrett and Dempsey and Stuart with Eoghan putting in a lot of tackles in midfield. The two teams were well matched with goal scoring opportunities being few and far between with firesome defending and tackling from both teams needless to say when goal opportunities did present themselves the Raheny teams took their chances.
Next up were the Raheny Yellow team Oisín Hannon,  Roisín Hannon along with Cian, Joe, Matthew, Jack, Tadgh, Luke, Charlie and Danny against Wilde Geese and Raheny Blue team of Daire Quigley, Eric Thompson, Adam Kennedy, Donnchadh,  Eoghan, Joe, Liam, Daragh and Kate Walsh against Donabate. This was an end to end game with no let up for the 25 minutes, with many of the boys taking to the pitch for the second time that morning they got into the swing of things in a tightly contested match with great defending and a midfield which kept the opposition on their toes while the forward line worked tirelessly and found gaps in a well marshalled Donabate defence more than once.
Even at this young age the boys and girls are a credit to themselves their parents and the club in how they display great sportsmanship every week. Ráth Éanna Abu!!!!!
A special mention must go to Sarah Walsh who was the Raheny roving reporter on the day
