Club Notes 20th October 2014

posted Oct 22, 2014, 12:13 PM by Kevin Brassil
Our U15s are playing a blinder this year, winning the football championship final and now going for the double. Sunday saw them winning a close semi-final hurling championship game against St Brigids, so another final for the club to look forward to.

Club history was made this year by 5 players John Ryan, Kevin Welsh, Fergal Smyth, Collie Donegan and Dave McGrath winning a C Championship double. Well done lads!

Our U13 ladies footballers did the club very proud on Saturday with their display of football in the county championship final, even the team mascot Joey didn't help us get to the finish line first. Losing by a point in extra time to Oliver Plunketts. Thank you to the mentors for all their hard work and also to the guest coaches who helped prepared the girls for the final.

Another match for your diaries AHL2 Raheny v Kilmacud Crokes 23/10 at 8pm on pitch 34. (Clontarfs pitch)

Club Pub Quiz in aid of our 2001/2002 ladies section
, is on Thursday 8pm this is a quiz with a difference, great prizes and spot prizes.

Hard luck to our minor hurlers who lost to barrog on Sunday morning. AFL4 Raheny 3-10 v 0-10 Parnell's.

Many congratulations to Nuala McGarvey (our former GPO) and her husband Dermot Carlin on the birth of their son Cormac.
