Club Notes 21st November 2016

Club Strategy :- To follow on from the launch of the Raheny GAA Stategy plan 2016-2019, volunteers are needed to help make these plans a reality. Please volunteer. Whatever time you can give will contribute to the success of the plans.

Ogra 
 

As always we are looking for volunteers to help with registering our new players, or simply to chop fruit. If you have 30mins to spare to help out on Saturday mornings please contact Alison on 086-2909022.

Friday Night Ogra is on the Astro @ 6-7PM with Seamus.

Fri 2/12, 6pm Astro. 

Sat 3/12, 10am Astro

Boot Exchange

The boot exchange is still up and running but has moved into the club shop, plenty of boots in stock. Bring your clean boots down and exchange for a big size.



The Club Hall is available for hire for parties, 

If you wish to book either the hall or the Hill for communion/confirmations please do so before 15/10 contact Tommy on 086-160009. 


Club Shop :- Club shop is ONLY open on a Saturday morning from 9.30 to 12.  

Do you know our club shop is now online, you can order and pay online and collect behind the bar.




Results
Hard luck to our U12 hurlers who were beaten by a strong St Vincent's team in the division 2 playoffs.  

Great to see two of our U15 Ladies footballers lining out for the Dubs at the weekend, Orlaith Walshe and Caoimhe McCarthy. 














Dates for you Diary

Our AGM takes place on Monday 5th December at 8pm, only FULLY paid members are permitted to attend. Nominations and/for motions/recommendations should be with the Club secretary no later than 14 days before the meetings. Please be informed that a summary of clubs audited accounts can be viewed by appointment with a club officer in attendance from Monday 21/11.



Mentors Night :- This has been switched to Saturday 10th December


We are holding a Christmas Craft Fair in aid of Pieta House, in memory of a good friend. This will take place on Sunday 27/11.  Great opportunity to support a great cause and get some unique Christmas presents. (All stalls are booked out.) 




U21..anybody?

Anyone interested in playing in the U21 championship should contact Pat (football) 086-3675448 and Shane (Hurling) 087-311054.



Sam Maguire will be at the club on Saturday 3rd December. More details to follow about the photo opportunity in the afternoon. 

Later that night, we intend to honour Brian Fenton and Siobhan Woods with a dinner and entertainment  in the club hall. This has been an extra special year for both of these players as they have represented Raheny GAA Club with distinction while lining out for Dublin in their respective All-Ireland finals. 

There will be a 3 course meal and the catering on the evening will be provided by catering North Dublin  - you can check their website www.CateringNorthDublin.com.
Cost per ticket is €50. The numbers on the evening are limited to 150 and as tickets are selling fast. we advise you to make your reservation ASAP!! It promises to be a great evening. To make a reservation, please respond to this email by telling us how many tickets you require.

We are looking for help with the club lotto on a Monday night. Ideally we would like to put a small team together, it's not difficult and only 2 hours a week. If interested contact Cian (087) 795 0130.
