Ogra is not on this weekend due to midterm another lie on for the parents. We hope all our players have a fantastic Halloween and a safe one.

The very best of luck to our U14 ladies football teams who both play in Shield finals on Sunday, Raheny A play Ballyboden in St Maurs at 12 and Raheny B play Cuala in Hyde Park at 1.30pm.

Congratulations to our Junior B hurling team under the guidance of Magic Mike, One of the most polished performances of the season so far as we beat Scoil Ui Chonnail by 8 points on Sunday morning. A super goal from the Swoop land a man of the match performance from Dave Cleary got us the 2 points in the bag and in the process securing a home league playoff to be played on Stephens Day*.

Under 16 Championship Final

Raheny 2:5 Craobh / OToole 5:13
Manor House School was buzzing this week in advance of the Under 16 Championship Final between Raheny GAA and the team formed with the coming together of Craobh and OTooles GAA for this years U16 Championship. It was a local derby like none ever before and bragging rights to play for.
Under lights on OTooles home pitch on Friday 23rd both teams were cheered on by a very large crowd who came out to support the girls.
The supporters were treated to a fantastic game of lady's football with Craobh / OTooles getting the better of the Raheny girls by 5:13 to 2:5.
Raheny were chasing the game throughout and to their credit fought for every ball right up to final whistle. While Raheny scores came from Captain Anna Murphy (0:1) Amy Murphy (1:2), Ciara McDunphy (1:1) and Ciara Mooney (0:1). Raheny would regret not taking their chances in the first half and could have been closer with Anna Murphy hitting the bar and Eabha Byrne hitting the post twice.
The well drilled amalgamated Craobh / OToole girls were very quick, accurate in the pass and in taking their scores clinically.
Credit to both teams in who played the game to very high standard in a spirit that was very fair , physical and most importantly in supporting manner.

AHL2 Raheny 1-07 v 2-14 Faughs.

Sincere condolences to Helen Gillen and family on the passing of her mother Ellen McDermott.
