Hard luck to the Dublin Senior ladies footballers on Sunday who were narrowly beaten by Cork in the All Ireland final.

Challenge Match for Senior Infants

U15 Championship match
Our U15 footballers had a great win in the quarter final of the U15B football championship in St Anne's park V Bridget's , 5-07 to 5-06 , Bridget's raced in to an early lead in first half 3-04 to a point but goals from Simon Geoghegan , James Keane and Cian Ivers meant that only 2 points separated teams at half time , telling contributions from midfielder Alex Bray , full back Darren Branningan ensured Raheny kept in game , second half saw Bridget's again take a 5 point lead with 5 minutes remaining but points from Darragh Nolan x 2 and Tom Keogh brought game back to a two point game going into injury time , Raheny kept going and scored a goal in injury time from James Keane his second of the day which ensured a victory for Raheny.

Minor Championship match
Delighted to get the win after a very disappointing performance against Ballyboden 2 weeks ago. We just didn't turn up against them so today's game was a must win. We regrouped after the Boden game and got things back on track with a very solid performance from start to finish. Darragh Keogh at 12 was my MOTM with big performances from Aran Kelly at 11 and Darren Byrne at 10. Brian Howard & Sean McMahon continue to shine and are leaders on the field. Must mention a very solid performance from Cian Storey at 2. Overall an impressive performance from the lads and everyone could get a mention but we know we have to build on today looking towards our next game against Ballymun at home in 2 weeks. We hope to get a big crowd out that day. The support for the lads to date has been amazing and it is much appreciated by all the management and players.

Scorers:
  • Aran Kelly (2-02)
  • Daren Byrne (1-02)
  • Brian Howard (0-03)
  • Shane Bell (0-01)
  • Andy Carroll (0-01)
  • Darragh Keogh (0-01)
  • Sean McMahon (0-01)

Our U14 camogie girls
had a good game against Cuala on Wednesday in the championship, this ended in a draw we are looking forward to the replay.

Our next big match for the club
is on 2nd October at 18.45 in Parnell Park where are senior footballers play St Oliver Plunketts in the Championship. Looking for the sea of maroon on Friday evening.
