Club Notes 2nd July 2012

OUR PITCHES ARE UNPLAYABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Fingers crossed they are playable this weekend as Raheny GAA host visiting Hurling & Camogie teams as Dublin host 2012 National Feiles. All members are asked to support the matches in the coming days.


FEILE FEVER THIS WEEKEND, STARTING ON THURSDAY WHEN THE TEAMS ARRIVE, RAHENY ARE HOSTING TEAMS FROM GLENEALY (CO WICKLOW) AND WOLFE TONES EDGEWORTHSTOWN (CO LONGFORD). SCHEDULE OF ALL THAT IS HAPPENING IS BELOW AND WILL BE UP ON OUR NOTICE BOARD PLEASE SUPPORT BOTH OUR HURLING AND OUR CAMOGIE TEAM.

A TV crew came out to the club on Sunday morning to film four of our members heading off into the match, Thank you to Catriona, Aoife, Cian and Keith for representing the Club. This is for a documentary on Hill 16 supporters for TG4 which will aired around the time of the All-Ireland. A great day was had by all and of course the icing on the cake was Dublin winning. Well Done the Dubs Thank you to Cian Burgess for decorating the outside of the club.



Hard Luck to Dublin senior camogie in a great game v Offaly last Sat, our U11 camogies girls came on at half time and did the club proud.

U8 an U9 Camogie & Girls Football teams had their summer fun day.
The girls had their annual summer fun day last Saturday and despite the weather a great morning was had by all.  The fun day included 3-legged races, tyre races, sack races and puc fada to mention just a few events.  The fun day finished with the girls "Splash the Mentors" event giving the mentors a good soaking! Special thanks to Adrienne for making the splash the mentors characters and to Ruth and Niamh for the face painting.  Taking this month off and will be back training in August - See you all then!      


GAA4MAs
still training  Sundays from 8-9 and Tuesdays 9-10.  Thank you to Dave (Heffo) for giving up his free time and training us last Sunday.
