Congratulations to our Senior Ladies Footballers who won the junior B Championship on Sunday, a fast paced game that they never lost the lead in, amazing performances by a all the girls. Well done to Olivia McLaughlin player of the match and not to forget the mentors Jason Byrne and Ciaran McEllistrim. For a number of our girls this was their second championship win in 7 years. Michelle Rya and Cliodna Mckay both have Dublin and Roscommon Championship Medals.

Thank you to Fingallians Gaa for hosting the final.

Match Report

Our Senior Footballers had a narrow win over Fingallians in the quarter finals of the Senior B Championship, a very tough match, next up for them is the semi-finals away to Fingal Ravens.

A huge thank you to the 16th man who was out in full force for both these matches, we are calling on you again for Saturday in Parnell Park where our Hurlers are in the Final of the Senior B Championship at 4pm.

U15 Footballers Championship
A very important win for this Raheny team against a highly rated team from North County Dublin. The pace was frantic from the start with St Peters roaring into a 6 point lead within the first 10 minutes. Raheny then kicked into gear and hit back with 2 quick goals and 3 excellent points to lead 2:3 to 0:7 at the break. Playing with the wind in the second half, Raheny scored the first point and it looked like the boys in maroon would drive on and win comfortably. But the lads wasted some good opportunities in the following few minutes and the lads in white from the north if the county hit back with a couple of goals to take the lead against the run of play. Raheny clawed that lead back and it was nip and tuck all the way through the half until St Peters scored another goal to put them 3 points ahead with only 6 minutes to go. But this Raheny team has developed a steeliness this year and this played a part with the lads scoring 3 crucial points to bring the match into extra time. St Peters again got off to a flyer with a goal after 2 minutes of extra time and looked like they might push on to win from there. Again Raheny pulled that lead back with some excellent play and well taken scores. The game was in the balance over the two extra halves with the lead changing a number of times before St Peters took the initiative and blasted a goal with about 6 minutes to go to lead by 2. The two teams were out in their feet at this stage but Raheny found something from somewhere to win crucial possession to score a goal and 3 points to win by 4 points. A great game played in great spirit by the two teams and although all players probably deserve a mention, two players at either end of the pitch were instrumental in the win - Michael Collins in goal who stopped numerous point blank efforts on goal and Thomas Moriarty who tucked away 3 crucial goals, well done lads.
Scorers:
Thomas Moriarty 3:0 Luke Fox 1:4 Cuan Malone 1:2 Thomas Hurley 0:4 Tom O'Donnell 0:2 Ben Roberts 0:1 Adam McAweeney 0:1, Jamie Herbert 0:1
