CLUB SHOP OPENING HOURS.... Many thanks to Mary Henry, Miriam Markham for all their hard work in the shop throughout the year. Delighted to hear Miriam is making a speedy recovery and will return to us in the new year.

OGRA IS NOW FINISHED FOR 2016, We would like to Thank Siobhan, Donna and Eva for running the coffee shop every Saturday and supplying us all with hot drinks on those cold mornings. Also a big thank you to Linda, Mary, Eileen and Leonora for chopping the fruit for our little players.

The Minor Camogie team are county champions, after an absolutely brilliant display helped the girls to a comprehensive 8-10 to 0-2 victory over Commercials. The game was in the melting pot for the first 15 minutes, as Raheny held a 2 point lead. However, following a scoring masterclass from Anna Murphy, Raheny began to pull away. Anna scored a first half hat trick of goals, Caragh Downey added to the tally by adding a goal, with Aoife and Sinead Stack chipping in with points. The entire forward line worked hard, and wouldn't let the commercials defense clear any ball easily. Our defense was rock solid for the entire game, marshaled from full back by the vice captain, Becky Barrett, with Ciara Mooney controlling the game at centre half back. A number of changes were made at half time, with each substitute more than playing their part in the victory. Goalkeeper Hazel scored 1-1 in the second half, while Aibhe Kirwan scored an absolute cracker of a goal, firing a bullet in to the top corner. Amy Murphy, was a live wire, constantly threatening the commercials defense with her speed. Our defense again let nothing get past them in the second half, with Caoimhe McGloin and Zoe Dalton reading the game brilliantly. The clean sheet was kept in tact thanks to not one but two goal line saves from full back Becky Barrett. Andrea Elebert did an exceptional man making job on their most dangerous player, and covered every blade of grass in the process. The win was extremely deserved, and there was a great atmosphere when captain Emma collected the trophy in front of a sizable Raheny crowd. This team have been brilliant all year, and there are a number of very exciting players to watch for in the future as they move up the ranks.
