RAHENY GAA GOLF SOCIETY OUTING
Our last outing of this year is on Friday 7th September at St Margaret' Golf Club.
Tee times are from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and we'll will be going out in four balls.
As usual, we need you to confirm your attendance via email mariusherbert@gmail.com and make sure that we have all your details, so could you please answer the following:
  1. Confirmation that you are attending...
  2. Your handicap...
  3. What time you would prefer to play at...  (This is subject to availability and if not possible, people will need to be flexible and will need to be ready to play at a designated time given. Any major problems with a time, please let me know.)
  4. If you have a fourball or prefered playing partners... (We'll do our best to accommodate this)
  5. If you are a member of Malahide Golf Club...
  6. If you are staying for the meal...
The cost is €55 which includes a meal (steak & chips) and prizes. Also we will be filling the places with club members first and if there are places left, we can then invite friends.  We'll have a steak meal after the golf and as usual we ask that everyone come back after the prize giving to RAHENY GAA for a couple of pints and a bit of craic.  St Margarets is a new venue for us and we're looking forward to another great day out.

OGRA Restarts on 8th September at 10am
, enjoy your last few lie-ins, and we at Raheny GAA look forward to welcoming our Stars of the Future.

The very best of luck to the Dubs
v Mayo on Sunday in the All Ireland Semi-final.

Mentors/Parents we are looking for pictures of any of your players that have donned the Dublin Strip, we have a lot of players involved in playing for their county and would like to display them proudly.  Either drop photos into club for attention of PRO or email on pro.raheny.dublin@gaa.ie

Three of our Raheny girls were playing for Dublin down in Thurles last weekend
  • Ciara Mooney (U13)
  • Aoife Stack (U14)
  • Caoimhe McGloin (U14)
Also last weekend in Laois where Dublin came 3rd:  Caoimhe McGloin U14

Junior C Football:
Raheny 7-14 v 1-2 Whitehall Colmcille
Our footballers were in flying form on thursday evening in St. Annes and had a very convincing win over Whitehall Colmcilles, Rob O'Neill chalking up 1gl. 5pts, followed by Mikey McShane with 2 gls and 1 pt.

U15 League Play Off matches
Raheny U15's blitzed Kilmacud Crokes in their hurling divisional play off match at the week-end 6-24 to 1-5.

Fogra: Raheny U15 players Brian Howard, Evan Cumiskey, Darren Byrne and James O'Kane were very prominent in the recent Dublin U15 development squad blitz in Darver, Co Louth.   The Dubs won all three of their matches V Louth, Westmeath and Tyrone.
James played at midfield, Brian right half back, Darren center forward and Evan Full back.

Fogra Eile:  Many thanks to Conor O'Kane who traveled to Darver to translate the Tyrone / Nordy language for us!

Senior 4 Camogie
got their championship off to a good start last Thursday with a hard fought win over Erin’s Isle. Isle’s got their second goal of the match just five minutes from the end to level the score. However three well taken frees from Emily Rheinisch clinched a win for Raheny. Final score Raheny 1-8, Erins Isle 2-2.
Raheny host St Oliver Plunkets this Thursday on pitch 10, all support welcome.

U14 footballs Raheny 1-12 v 5-4 Erins Isle.

This was U14s first match back after a long summer rest, the lads werent in their usual tip top condition but that didnt stop them they worked hard and dug deep, it was a nerve racking, nail bitting game. Fantastic performances from all the lads.
Their next match is against St Vincents A at PNU on 06/09 18:45.
