Our Ogra was a little sparse this week with the bad weather however we did have 45 children who braved the elements, two Gallagher cousins were present with theirs Dads Matt and Declan, of course these young lads being third generation Gallaghers to play with the club you would expect them to made of hard stuff.

A few changes around the club, Our Senior team have a new management of Colin McMahan, Ray McDunphy, Mark Beirne and Alan Breene, we wish you the very best of luck and would like to thanks Brendan Keane and Ciaran Whelan for the work they have put into this team to date.

This year we have two minor football teams taking to the field, Minor A will have Brian Curtis, Colly Dwyer and Vinny Byrne at the helm and Minor B Tom Fleming, Mick Harford and Barry McGuirk. Minors Hurlers are fielding one team this season headed up by Ronan Leech who is also our club man of the year and our juvenile chairman and not forgetting our newly appointed vice chairman Cian Burgess.

Still not a lot happening on the playing fields, our U13 girls played a  challenge match against Ballyboden St Endas on a very cold Sunday last, both teams displayed great talent.

Raheny GAA Clothes Bank:

It will be located in the corner on the soccer club side near where the bins used to be.

A special word of thanks to all the parents, family and friends of the U11’s Ladies Football /Camogie Team who turned up on a cold, wet and windy night for the Quiz Night on Friday 31st January in Raheny GAA Club house.

Quiz master Paul O’Connor really put the teams through their paces with tough general knowledge questions. Thanks again to all those who very generously gave spot prizes and/or made donations for the night making the

night a great success.

The fundraiser for badly needed jerseys and with the lack of a sponsor have decided to have the cf hopesource logo on their Jerseys. Cystic Fibrosis Hope source is a charity set up by parents who work with both Temple Street Hospital and Beaumont Hospital to improve facilities for the children/Adults with CF that attend both hospitals. It is a unique charity in that there are no waged staff, every cent raised goes to making a difference.

Please don't forget that membership is now due, please pay promptly. The winner of the GAA watch from juvenile membership day is Leo Fallon, Congratulations Leo we will be in touch shortly.
