Club Notes January 14th 2013

Only paid up members for 2013 are eligible and insured to use club facilities and train/play for Raheny GAA
. Family Membership at €275 offers exceptional value for Parents with Juveniles under 18.

  1. Membership renewal forms have been posted to all members in the last week. 
  2. Membership week in the clubhouse from Sat 26th January during Ogra hours, Mon 28th to Thursday 31st January from 8-10pm 
  3. Please make a note to call in and pay your membership fees during this week. 
  4. Membership fees can also be paid by Cash, Cheque, Credit Card or Laser at the club bar during opening hours or by PayPal on the club website. 

Please pay your membership before end January.



Ogra is back in full swing, lie-ins on a saturday are a thing of the past for a while. Great to see so many children on the astro and to see second generations joining us. Rob O Neill who still plays Junior with the Club brought his eldest daughter Cadladh down last saturday, it remains to be seen whos talent she has inherited her mum Helen O Connor who also played with the club or her Dads, Maybe shes blessed with both.




Our Operation Transformation group is going from strenght to strenght we has an extra 20 register with us on Monday last. Our total weightloss for the group was 10st 18lbs, which is a person!! Heres to losing a few more.

Jenny Dowling can out to the group on Tuesday and put us through our paces with two fitness classes and yes we were sore after but we do want her back for more. Thank you again Jenny.

Our next walk is Thursday 9am and then friday 7pm. We are adding a big 6 miles in on Sunday and all are welcome to this as well, starting at the club house at 3pm sharp. Bring your babies, your children, your family, even your inlaws.

Monday after the weight-in at 8pm we have a dietitain coming out to us who will be having a talk on healthy eating and Diet, as always all welcome. No charge we just ask you give a suggested donation of €5, all monies go to Cystic Fibrosis Hopesource Foundation (www.cfhopesource.org)




MINOR HURLERS semi final date is finally set ------ Raheny v Thomas Davis 27/1 on pitch 9 at 11am. We want huge support at this, we are very proud of minors.




The new executive had their first meeting on Monday last, this is the first time is almost 17 years that Greg Brough hasnt sat on the executive committee, his reitirement from the exec is well deserved. 
We welcomed two new committee members, Lisa Donnelly and Neil Kelly.




LADIES SENIOR FOOTBALLERS ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM, ANYONE INTERESTED IN TAKING THE LADIES ON SHOULD CONTACT OUR CHAIRMAN CONOR LEE ON 086-2841031


Congratulations to Paul McLoughlin on his election as Chairperson to LGFA. 




MENTORS ARE REMINDED TO LEAVE THE LOCK-UP TIDY AFTER USING IT, ALSO IT MUST REMAIN LOCKED AT ALL TIMES, EQUIPMENT IS GOING MISSING AND IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION THAT IT IS BEING LEFT OPEN DURING MATCHES AND TRAINING.
