Club Notes January 21st 2013

Only paid up members for 2013 are eligible and insured to use club facilities and train/play for Raheny GAA. Family Membership at €275 offers exceptional value for Parents with Juveniles under 18.

  1. Membership renewal forms have been posted to all members in the last week. 
  2. Membership week in the clubhouse from Sat 26th January during Ogra hours, Mon 28th to Thursday 31st January from 8-10pm 
  3. Please make a note to call in and pay your membership fees during this week. 
  4. Membership fees can also be paid by Cash, Cheque, Credit Card or Laser at the club bar during opening hours or by PayPal on the club website.
Please pay your membership before end January.

Our Operation transformation
Group did a 6 mile walk on Sunday well done to all who braved the very cold weather. 
On Monday after the weigh-in (results to follow shortly) the group had a talk on healthy eating and how to change your habits for the better.  Thank you so much to Linda for this.  We requested a donation of 5euro for the talk and this money goes to Cystic Fibrosis Hopesource Foundation.  Our next walk is thur 9am, Friday 7pm.  Thank you to Raheny shamrocks for giving us a reduced price to our Op Traners for the AXA5.
Next weigh-in is Monday.



New members are always welcome to the Ogra for children born 2006/2007
, join Dotsy O Callaghan (Dublin Hurler) and our other coaches on Saturday morning at 10am on our Astro.


Its fantastic to see Pat Ivory is back involved with a team in the club.
We will be watching AFL7 very closely, this team has already been promoted two years in a row.


Speedy recovery to Evan Cumiskey following his accident in Belgium.


POKER CLASSIC
We are back on!  Its been two years since we had the last shoot out and if memory serves me we all had a good time! (especially Mick Dempsey!)

SHOOTOUT FORMAT (will depend on number of entrants)
  • Friday night Heats( Feb 15th @ 8.30pm) with tables of 8/9/10 players with the winner of each table going to the final table of 10 on the Sunday night ( Feb 17th @ 8pm)
  • Second place at each table in the heats will go to a play off on Sunday afternoon (Feb 17th @ 2pm) with the top 1/2/3 going to the final table.
  • There maybe 1/2 wild cards to make up the numbers at the playoff table
  • €60 Buy In.
  • Option of one rebuy (€50) for first person knocked out at each table of heat. If not taken up it goes on to the next person knocked out and so on. For first 4 levels only.
  • Deep Stacks and 25 minute blinds
  • Pay Out TOP 5..... 45%, 25%, 15%, 10%, 5%
  • Hall Rental (Bar Staff), food, new cards all included

fine performances from all especially Mick O Keefe and Dave Heffernan.
