CLUB NOTES October 17th by Daithi Brugha & P.R.O













U15 Hurlers played magnificently in a nail biting c/ship Final ,in Parnell Park last Friday evening.,but unfortunately lost by 1pt to Erins Isle. Well done to all management and players. Match report on website. U16 Hurlers won their c/ship semi-final, with a mighty team performance v Cuala.[3-6 to1-8]. Minor Hurlers with Brian Fenton, Eoin Gillen, Eoghan Smyth and Robert Diffley outstanding, won c/ship away to Na Piarsaigh. Well done to the U12 hurlers who have maintained Division 1 status for 2012 with some great wins in recent weeks.


AFL5 won their 2nd last League game v Round Towers[C] to finish 3rd in table. St Pats called off important AFL2 league game, which will be re-fixed. Minor Footballers play A C/Ship Quarter Final next Sunday 11:00 in Silverpark v Kilmacud Crokes. All support more than welcome. AFL9 play St Annes next Sun.3,00pm on Pitch 9.


Senior Camogie had a good league win over Naomh Brid. U15S lost to Naomh Mearnog in B c/ship semi-final.U16s play c/ship Tuesday away to Naomh Brid.



Fantastic scenes in clubhouse last Saturday morning and evening with huge crowds to welcome the visit of Sam Maguire. Many thanks to David Henry, PRO Alison, all Dub players past and present, DJ Mark, Kevin Welsh and everyone involved in organising a wonderful day that will long be remembered. Absolutely wonderful to see 70s heroes Alan Larkin, David Hickey and current DUB, David Henry in photo with Sam. Same again 2012 please. See website for photo’s.


Its great to see so many Raheny GAA teams at all levels and all codes competing at the highest levels and Parnell Park is getting frequent visits. Congratulations to all players, managers, mentors, supporters, parents and all involved, long may it continue.



Raheny GAA will be hosting a Level 1 Hurling / Camogie Course in the club during Q4, details to follow. The drive to improve Coaching for all Mentors and club Members continues.




HALLOWEEN BALL - 2011

HALLOWEEN BALL: Get into the spirit of things at our Monster Halloween Ball on Sat.29th Oct.8 til Late. Over 18s and Admission is €5. Fancy Dress ,finger food, spot prizes etc and special prizes for best male and female costumes. Come along for a haunting experience.
