Crokes made to work by Raheny

Kilmacud Crokes were made work for victory in this Dublin SFC meeting under floodlights in Balgriffin on Friday night. Rahenys lack of scoring power and accuracy from frees let them down on the night. Raheny had 2 good goal chances in the 1st half and missed 5 kickable frees in the 2nd.

Over the course of the game it was the ability of Brian Kavanagh to translate possession into scores from play which settled the issue. Paul Griffin was outstanding at full back for Crokes.
Crokes also had goalkeeper David Nestor to thank for two first half saves to deny both Donal Ryan and Sean Dempsey.
