Raheny beat Ballyboden St Enda down on Pitch 9 today to bring the Parson Cup back to the club for the 1st time since 1990.

Played in glorious sunshine, Raheny got the perfect start and were 3-01 : 0-00 up after 10 minutes.

Raheny were very strong up the middle and backed by fantastic work ethic from No.1 thru to 15, the result was never in doubt once the 3 goals went in.

The teams traded scores until half-time and with Raheny well on top, we eventually ran out  comfortable 7 point winners. Credit to Ballyboden who never gave up and battled to the end.

Captain Mark Staunton accepted the Parson Cup of behalf of his team-mates and thanked all involved at Junior level over many years, with special thanks to current AFL5 Management, Paul McLoughlin and Colly Dywer.
