The senior footballers beat Na Fianna 2-9 to 0-13 in Mobhi Road yesterday. This was their first match in the AFL1 league and gets them off to a great start. Raheny played with a good breeze in the 1st half and led 1-6 to 0-5 at half time. They  came under considerable pressure in the 2nd half but but still managed to score 1-3 against the breeze and a very diciplined defence saw them earn a norrow victory. A pleasing feature was a score of 2-8 from play, 2-3 of this from the full forward line.
