Venue: Rolestown

Competition: AFL 1 round 10

Raheny 0-6    Fingal Ravens 1-8

June has been a very tough month for the senior footballers as they have struggled to find a win. The trip to Rolestown to play an in-form Fingal Ravens team was to prove to be another very tough tie and ended in dissappointment. Raheny started quite well and led early on by a couple of points from Sean Dempsey and Ciaran Murphy. Ravens though nabbed a goal on the break and went into the lead just before half time which was probably not deserved as Raheny had dominated the first half with Darragh Pelly and John Ryan to the fore.

In the second half, both teams notched early points but the turning point in the game came with a sending off of a Fingal Ravens player with 15 minutes to go. This seemed to lift Ravens who controlled the game from this point onwards and Raheny never looked like getting back into it. Luke Dillon and Senior debutant Gavin Ivory both worked well up front but it was not to be and a fruitless June came to an end with the final whistle. Hopefully July will bring a little more fortune and points! The lads play Parnells on Saturday at home in St.Annes at 6.30 with all support greatly welcomed.
