Date: 14th March 2010

Competition: AFL 1

Venue: 12th Lock

Raheny 3-8     Lucan 1-10

This was Raheny's second game in the league and after losing out narrowly to Kilmacud Crokes in the first game the team needed to respond in good fashion in this game. The response was a good one and the team got off to a flyer with early goals from Eoin Delaney and a rampaging Ciaran Whelan. Raheny powered thorugh the first half with Eoin Keogh, Darragh Pelly and Tiarnan Dunne all putting in fine attacking performances. The back line excelled aswell with Shane Harkin superb throughout. In the second half Lucan came back at Raheny and brought the game back to one point but in the last ten minutes the lads showed some real grit to dig deep and see the game through with another goal from Eoin Delaney putting the issue beyond doubt. Overall an excellent performance and hopefully the lads can now build on this result.
