Raheny 0-8   Oliver Plunketts  1-11

A dissapointing week for the senior footballers ended with a second defeat  to Oliver Plunketts at home on Saturday evening. Raheny started very well and led by 4 points to 2 after 20 minutes with points coming from Ger Coady and Sean Dempsey early on. Mick O'Keefe also slotted over a excellent 45' to give Raheny a good start.

However, Plunketts showed they have plenty of class and with Jason Sherlock looking extremely dangerous, they took control of the game with some good points and a Sherlock goal to lead by six points at half time. In the second half Raheny tried valiantly to close the gap and the introduction of Colm Woods and David Carroll helped to bring added zest to the attack.Colm Hanley produced a couple of wonderful points to bring Raheny back into contention but Plunketts were always able to keep that 6 point gap and despite Raheny driving on strongly through John Ryan and Sean Swords in defence, Plunketts were not to be denied their win.
